About Learn English Sounds

My name is David Loor. I am a computer science engineer from Ecuador and I live in the United States. When I moved here, I was excited but also knew I would face some challenges, especially with speaking English clearly. Even though I could read and write well, I soon noticed that people sometimes had trouble understanding my pronunciation.

This became clear after a few conversations where I had to repeat myself and felt a bit frustrated. I wanted to get better, so I started looking for ways to improve my pronunciation. That’s when I realized I had never really learned about the sounds, or phonemes, of English.

When I saw this gap, I decided to make a website that would help others who feel the same way. Learn English Sounds is here to give you simple explanations, audio examples, and practice tools, all in one place. All the resources you find here are curated from content already available on the internet; I do not generate new content myself. My goal is to make it easier for you to find and use high-quality materials, and I use artificial intelligence to help discover and organize these resources for you. I hope this site helps you feel more confident and clear when you speak English.

I also built this website to use artificial intelligence for searching content and making things easier for you. This project lets me use what I know about AI in a real and helpful way.
